A Special Player at The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

To many golfers the lure of playing golf on the true links courses in Scotland is a quest that can’t be denied. Playing at “The Home of Golf” is a goal for many a hopeful golfer. The European Tour is playing one of its most popular tournaments this week at The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. This is the European Tours version tour of the A.T.& T. Pebble Beach Pro-Am where celebrities and amateurs play along with a professional. The kicker here is that they use three of the most revered courses in the world. The tournament uses The Old Course at St. Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, all three are must plays on any trip to the Kingdom of Fife. Now that’s a week of to remember.

There are plenty of good golfers playing the Dunhill but none more memorable than Manuel De Los Santos. Manuel is three handicap and a former draft choice of the Toronto Blue Jays. He also lost his leg seven years ago and plays on one leg. It is amazing to see him play and he absolutely kills the ball. Take a look at the video and be humbled by a real athlete.
