Lost in all the Tiger interview hoopla was the fact that Jim Furyk won the Transitions Championship yesterday. Furyk doesn’t mind the fact that his win
is relegated to story number 1001 behind 1000 Tiger stories. He’ll happily take the trophy and cash the check in the quiet, humble, unassuming way he always has. It was his first win since 2007 and fourteenth in his career. It’s great to see another one of “the old guard” get it done on tour. Furyk is too good a player to go so long without a win. It goes to show you how tough it is to keep winning out there. Jim’s the one with the trophy but that blue guy on the right could be his twin.
