More bad news for Tiger and the PGA Tour hits the newsstands next week  in Vanity Fair.  Mark Seal has an article that includes interviews and photos of four of Tiger’s women.  One of them directly contradicts Tiger’s stance that no one on his staff knew or helped him with his affairs.  Another says that his agent knew and took action to keep it all a secret.  As long as they are willing to talk there will be someone willing to listen and pay them for it.

After a season filled with controversy in 2009, Mike Whan and the ladies were ready to play golf and rebuild the LPGA this year.  Now, at the season’s first major three LPGA players were disqualified before the tournament starts.  Shanshan Feng missed her tee time for the Pro-Am and was “withdrawn” and Helen Alfredsson and Maria Hjorth were alternates for the Pro-Am that also missed their tee times.  The Tour tried to contact them to fill in for Patty Sheehan, who missed her tee time, but couldn’t reach them in time.  When they joined their groups out on the course they were informed that they were “withdrawn” that’s tour speak for disqualified.  Alfredsson, a former Kraft Champion and tour board member was furious.  Look for some changes to be made in their flawed notification system.

Paula Creamer will miss an undetermined amount of time to rehab her surgically repaired thumb Creamer has been dealing with the issue for some time but she decided to go ahead and have the surgery since the injury was not improving.

In another display of her usual kindness and appreciation towards those support people on tour, Lorena Ochoa once again cooked breakfast for the maintenance staff at The Mission Hills Golf Course.  She is a player that always makes an effort to gives a little something back to those that make the tour possible.
