Kaymer Wins, Takes Woods Down

by Jeff Skinner

With the machine like consistency Germany is known for Martin Kaymer dismantled the course at The Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship for his first win of the season.  Making his season debut, Kaymer took the lead on Friday and never looked back shooting 67, 65, 66 and 66.  It is his third win in four tries at Abu Dhabi and certainly shows that he is starting 2011 just as he had finished 2010.

Kaymer moved to number two in the World Golf Rankings as he knocks Tiger Woods out of the two slot and moves Woods down to number three.  Kaymer finished eight shots ahead of his nearest competitor, Rory McIlroy, and had only one bogey all week to go along with 25 birdies.  Kaymer now has his sights set on World Number One, Lee Westwood who was a bit off his game and finished tied for 64th
