Teenage John Cook Wins

by Jeff Skinner

At The Mitsubishi Electric Championship John Cook said he felt like a teenager instead of the 53 year old Champions Tour veteran that he is.  He played well enough to claim his second straight Champions Tour win as he finished off last season with a victory.  Five straight birdies to open his back nine put Cook in position for his sixth Champions Tour Title, not bad for a 53 year old teenager. “I just feel like I’m in control.  All the things I’ve worked on from when I was 13 years old are still in my head with Ken (Venturi) and now with Jamie Mulligan.”
