There are plenty of beautiful swings on The PGA Tour and there are some that only a mother could love. David Feherty said Jim Furyk’s swing looked like an “octopus falling out of a tree.” Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey doesn’t have a classic swing and he’ll never look like sweet swinging Sammy Snead or really anyone that has a classic swing, but that doesn’t mean Two Gloves isn’t a classic himself. He really is. When Tommy swings he looks like he’s trying to kill a snake with a stick. We got to know Tommy from a few appearances on The Big Break and he has been chasing his dream of playing golf for a living from the mini tours to the big boy tour and everywhere in between. He is as sweet a guy as you’ll ever find and a real southern gentleman. He has a share of the lead in the marathon that is the Waste Management Phoenix Open. With all the frost delays they won’t finish until Monday and Tommy Two Gloves is hoping to be there for a shot at winning and making his dream come true.
