Anytime a golfer gets it to double digits under par you know that’s a special round. Nick Price lit it up on The Champions Tour in Newport Beach California. The three time Champions Tour winner shot a personal and Champions Tour best 60 over the Newport Beach Country Club course. Price scored seven birdies and two eagles on his way to his career best eighteen hole score. He thinks the minor adjustments he made in his equipment this year may be starting to pay off. “It’s funny when you start playing well, it’s not one particular thing, it’s a combination of a lot of little things,” Price said. “The few times, three or four times that I’ve run into really good streaks in my career, that’s what did it.” A few more rounds like that and he’ll have his fourth Champions Tour victory.
