Tommy Gainey found a little bit of fame and fortune on his days on The Big Break. Well known for his two gloves and well liked for his amiable and humble personality, Two Gloves lit it up on the front nine with a 29 at The Wyndham Championship and shares the lead at -7 with Jeff Quinney.
Gainey is having a great year and he is looking to make it an even better one this week. He seems to fare well if he can only make the cut. In 26 events this year he has made the cut 14 times. In those 14 made cuts he has 8 top 25 finishes and five top tens. With over $1.5 million in earnings Two Gloves is 40th in FedEx Cup points and assured of playing in the playoffs. That’s pretty good for a guy with swing that looks like he just been hit with a Taser.
Two Gloves is looking to keep up his good play and says he’s “Going after it.”
