Few names generate as much debate as Donald Trump. You either love him or you hate him, or possibly both. Trump is never shy about how great he does things. According to him, he’s building “the greatest course in the world” in Scotland to add to his stable of all “the greatest courses in the world” that he already owns.
His Scotland project, Trump International Golf Links Scotland, leads his portfolio in controversy. Set on the Aberdeen coast, Trump claims he is building a course that will become “the finest golf destination in Europe.” His opponents say he is abusing the land and destroying a rare and important eco-system.
Where Trump goes controversy follows. An independent filmmaker has tried to capture the impact Trump’s development has had on the Scottish people in the area. He appears to have met with some resistance by many but he soldiered on. His film debuts at The Hamptons International Film Festival this weekend.
