Phil Triples the Fourth Again

by Jeff Skinner

The last time we saw Phil Mickelson he was at The Masters and trying to recover from his triple bogey at the fourth hole.  Well, Phil did it again on Thursday at the Wells Fargo Championship with another triple at the fourth hole again.  What’s going on with the fourth hole?  Phil didn’t play poorly but his one under par 71 left him tied for 56th place.  Replace that triple with a par and he is tied for twelfth.

It didn’t bother Phil, a bad score rarely does, and he thinks he has a low score in his bag.  He’ll need a good day today if he wants to break through at Quail Hollow for the first time.
