When you’re the best player in the world it’s difficult to keep anything secret for long except for an occasional secret from Tiger Woods. And now the worst kept secret in golf is out: Rory McIlroy has switched to Nike. We all heard the insiders telling us this for months but with Rory getting ready to debut his new sticks next week in Abu Dhabi it is impossible to keep his new tools under wraps.
Here’s a shot of Rory’s new bag, courtesy of Golf Central Daily.com and Shane Bacon of Devil Ball Golf. Looks like a finely tuned set of Nike VRS blades, definitely not off the rack stuff at all.
