Who says that Rory McIlroy’s 2013 season has been a disaster? Rory may have saved a little bit of face with his victory over Tiger Woods in a two man exhibition in China.
McIlroy has had a horrible season on the course and has struggles off the course also. A new equipment deal with unfamiliar clubs, a second management change that is now in court are just two factors that have sent Rory from world number one down to number six.
It’s a season that Rory would certainly like to forget and maybe a win over Woods, even an “exhibition” is just the medicine this ailing Irishman needs. After all, most players would sell their soul to say they’ve beaten Tiger Woods.
It’s the second straight year that Rory has beat Tiger here, “I would like to play all my tournaments in China where I can beat Tiger,” McIlroy said.
