Golf Digest’s World’s Best Courses

by Jeff Skinner

The February issue of Golf Digest is their Planet Golf issue and its chock full of their ever popular Greatest Course listings.  This year for the first time they have included the World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.

From the hills of New Jersey to the links of Fife with a taste of Tasmania and Japan thrown in, they scour the continents for the greatest golf courses anywhere.  In addition to the World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses they have complied The Best Courses In 205 Countries, yes 205.  There’s also America’s 100 Greatest Courses and for us unfortunate few that lack the silver spoon or well connected ancestry there is America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses.  But as we know, public doesn’t necessarily cheap.  Pebble Beach is technically a public but bring five Franklins if you want more than a look at the view.

Start clicking and let the daydreaming begin.

  1. Bro, have played only three of the world’s greatest, not likely to add to that number. What’s up with Myrtle?

  2. Hey…you’re way too young to feel like that. Plenty of top ones in your future!

  3. I wish I could travel out of the country to play. The farthest I have been was when I played gulf in Vegas but would love to add the out of country experience to my list.
