It’s Christmas in January for all of us golf geeks: it’s time for Golf Digest’s Equipment Hot List. The March issue will have their Gold and Silver Medal winners but you can get a preview of the hottest gear for 2014 right here.
From Golf Digest: “Our 11th annual uncensored guide to the best golf equipment features 106 of the more than 250 clubs evaluated by our team of 
equipment editors, with input from scientists, teaching professionals, retailers and amateurs. We evaluated drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters in four areas: performance, innovation, look/sound/feel and demand. “It’s not just tour players who are benefitting in this era of game-improving psyche-enhancing clubs,” Senior Equipment Editor Mike Stachura writes. “As we discovered with this year’s Hot List, the biggest trend in equipment is diversity. Not every one of the 106 clubs on this year’s Hot List will work for you, but there’s no doubt you can find one (or more) that will.”
It is perfect timing for us snowbound golfers that are chomping at the bit to get our hands on some new sticks. My Greek Brother Matt is getting antsy after all he only has a dozen sets of irons and it has been six months since he bought his latest driver.
