Seve Lives On In Film

by Jeff Skinner

Movies on golf rarely do well here in the states, Caddyshack of course being the lone film that crossed over into the general consciousness. I have a feeling that the just released, Seve the Movie will have some life over in Europe.

Seve is loved and revered like no other golfer and this film chronicling his life as a poor youth coming from nothing to the pinnacle of professional golf may be a must see for any golf fan.

Here’s the IMDB storyline,“Seve combines dramatic recreations with electrifying archive footage to tell his incredible rags to riches story; from humble beginnings on the beaches of Spain – where aged six he taught himself the game with a broken 3 iron strapped to a stick – to becoming world number one and the greatest golfer of a generation. Seve was produced with the full support of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation.”

Hat tip to Geoff Shackelford.
