The women of the world take their games across the pond this week for their third major of the season with the Ricoh Women’s British Open at historic Royal Birkdale Golf Club.
Stacy Lewis, Michelle Wie, Inbee Park and all the rest will try and continue the amazing run of tournaments we have witnessed in women’s golf this season.
Royal Birkdale has hosted the men for the Open Championship on nine occasions in addition to Ryder Cups, Walker Cups and British Amateurs. The ladies were last here in 2010 as Yani Tseng won as she started her dominating run of women’s golf.
Stacy Lewis is the defending champion having won last year at St. Andrews but with Tseng returning to Birkdale and showing signs of finding her form this week may just be another thrilling week for the women.
