For the past seven years Bernhard Langer has dominated the Champions Tour with machine like consistency and marksman like accuracy. 
He’s performed like The Terminator on a mission to own the Champions Tour. I can almost hear his thought process, or “software program” if you buy the Terminator analogy: Must make birdies. Must crush competition. Must win!
And on most occasions The Berninator does just that, crushes them.
But every now and then he misses one…it’s rare but it does happen. On the seventh hole at Hualalai Golf Club yesterday he must have had a software crash or a glitch because he went where few professionals have ever been: a quintuple bogey.
The par five seventh took down the mighty German as he found himself playing from the lava rocks, double hitting a ball and generally playing like a hacker on vacation.
The announcers originally credit him with a nine but PGA officials, after reviewing the video told him it was a 10 before he signed his card.
With all that he still managed to shoot par for the day and he’s only six back of leader Rocco Mediate. That’s almost as amazing as his adventurous ten.
Take a look; we probably won’t see this again in our lifetimes.
