At The Northern Trust Open James Hahn survived the rain, the field and Riviera as he hung on to defeat Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey in a three hole playoff.
Hahn had almost given up on a career in golf a few years back but toughing it out on the Web.com Tour paid off with a win in 2012 and kept him going.
He was nearly speechless immediately after his win, “This is amazing,” Hahn said. “I never would have thought I would win this tournament.”
Hahn’s win gets him a two year exemption onto the PGA Tour, he is exempt into The Masters, The PLAYERS Championship, The PGA and next year he’ll head to Hawaii to open the season at The Tournament of Champions.
