Tiger’s Amazing Birdie & the Shot We Missed

Coming into this Masters one of the main, if not the main storyline was if Tiger Woods could come back from the worst spell of his career.

We all saw how bad his short game had become but his week at Augusta Woods has quieted his critics. His short game has been superb in fact it has bailed out the short comings with the rest of his game.

Through three rounds he has hit 39 of 54 greens, 28 of 42 fairways, has had only one three putt and ranks twelfth in the field in putting.

His first round 73 showed some signs of rust but since then he has carded ten birdies to only three bogeys.

He is making the shots he used to make and today on thirteen he made an All-World birdie.  2015 Masters

After mis-hitting his drive, almost hacker-like he worked an iron around the corner like the Tiger of old. He then striped it on to the green and sank the putt for a birdie he had no business making.

The strange thing is we didn’t see his recovering shot during the telecast. CBS blew it. Sure, we saw the putt and his fist pump but they missed showing the recovery shot. It was that shot that made the hole. Click here for the video we all missed.

It took him awhile to get going but he is back to making those shots we had all become so used to seeing. He won’t win this Masters but who’s to say with the confidence he gained here how long it will be before he finally gets number fifteen.
