Winning The Memorial at Jack’s Place with the Greatest of All Time shaking your hand as the winner is one special day. Now that’s a first time PGA Tour win worth remembering.

Suzann Pettersen has had some ups and downs recently. Winless since October ’13 she decided to leave David Leadbetter and hop on the Butch Harmon train. That’s a very full train and Pettersen gives Harmon another winner in his stable with her win at The Manulife LPGA Classic. It was Pettersen’s fifteenth PGA career LPGA win and for one of the most competitive golfers in the world, male or female, it’s long overdue.

Mark Calcavecchia marches to his own drummer, always has, always will. Few golfers have as much fun on tour as Calc. Playing is fun enough but winning is so much better. And winning while you’re wearing a pair of “Bacon Pants” is even more fun. Throw in the fact that Calc won the Principal Charity Classic using an off the rack Ping putter he had just bought at Dick’s Sporting Goods and Calc is having the last laugh. Swede Alex Noren claimed his second Nordea Masters title by four strokes. Winning in your home country is special and battling the strong winds certainly gave Noren reason to be pleased. “I’m so pleased. Now I can relax a bit because it was probably the toughest weekend in terms of wind I’ve ever felt.”
