The Spieth Buzz…All Jordan All the Time

The afterglow of Jordan Spieth’s U.S. Open win continues as it has been all Spieth all the time everywhere you look.spieth green jacket trophy

I first caught him on The Golf Channel today and then the buzz got louder when he posted a shot of his Masters Green Jacket lying next to the U.S. Open Trophy on Instagram. Oh it must be nice to be Jordan.

CNN Money called him “The Next Endorsement Superstar” and claimed “Even if he doesn’t win the next two majors, “he should be able to easily double, maybe triple, his endorsement dollars by this time next year,” said Bob Dorfman, an endorsement expert and editor of the Sports Marketers Scouting Report.

He spent some time speaking with old friend Dan Patrick on the Dan Patrick Show and I even caught him on CNBC where he voiced sympathy for Dustin Johnson and was just trying to wrap his head around where he is now. “I really felt for him,” he said “It took a few minutes for it really to sink in that I won. I’m just really fortunate to be on this side of it.”

Ron Green of Global Golf Post said of Spieth, “There’s no place he’s afraid to go. No challenge he’s afraid to tackle.”

Karen Crouse of The NY Times recognizes the buzz created by Spieth.

The folks at Golf Digest were ahead of the curve and already had Spieth on their July cover and had some nice in depth pieces on the new two time major winner.

Jaime Diaz and others answers the question “What do we like about Jordan Spieth.”

Thomas L. Friedman tells us “How Jordan Spieth Cured me of Tiger Woods.”

And Ron Sirak calls Spieth “Golf’s New $25 Million Man.” And that was before his Open win. He could double that now.

And last but certainly not least, Spieth graces the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated. It’s the second time in three months the affable Texan has made the cover. If he wins the Open Championship count on another and this is only the beginning.
