There is some wild stuff going on in golf right now including some suspensions, some spying and a whale of a fish story.
Scott Stallings was suspended from the PGA Tour for violating the Tour’s Drug Policy. But he didn’t go all A-Rod or Barry Bonds on steroids.
Stallings had taken an over the counter drug, not a steroid, prescribed by his doctor. After a players meeting explaining the policy he went to the tour and turned himself in. He never failed a drug test. Click here for the story.
Drama and espionage at the U.S. Women’s Open as the USGA suspended a caddie for taking pictures of future pin placements for the tournament. Sei Young Kim’s caddie, Paul Fusco was removed from the grounds and banned from caddying for the Open.

He was found in an area he wasn’t credentialed for and was caught snapping cell phone pictures of the week’s potential pin placements.
Now that’s cheating…in a big way. I want to see if the USGA takes any other action against Fusco. Click here for the story.
The PGA of America has fired Donald Trump…so to speak. In a release the PGA announced they have decided to “explore other options” for their Grand Slam of Golf. The fall event which pits the four major champions of the year against each other will not be played at Trump’s LA Club.

Lexi Thompson is twenty years old. She is playing in her ninth U.S. Women’s Open. Yes, ninth Open at twenty… simply amazing.
Inbee Park has fifteen LPGA Tour wins and six of them are majors, including two U.S. Women’s Opens. In fact, over the last twelve majors seven women have won one major. Park has won five. Now that’s truly amazing.
