Jordan Spieth may have come up short at the PGA Championship as Jason Day muscled his way to his first major win but Spieth reaped a reward of a different nature. Yes we all know he took the top spot in the Official World Golf Rankings but there is more.
A grass roots movement has started and it’s gaining traction across the country: Jordan Spieth for President. And I’m all for it.
Fans were seen all over Whistling Straits promoting their new and favorite candidate for the highest office in the land.
Now some would say Spieth has no political experience and I say that’s a good thing. It seems anyone with experience in Washington is already corrupted by the evils of politics. And does Donald Trump have and political experience?
Many will question Spieth’s ability to handle pressure and make decisions that effect millions of people. And I counter that with this: Did you see him at the majors this year?
And as far as his ability to put his own agenda aside (which no politician does) and truly govern for the good of the entire country I would offer this: I think Spieth has a better understanding of the human condition and what it truly means to do “the right thing” then anyone running for president.
I know he could take out Hillary as he has no history of lying and cheating and as far as Trump… Spieth isn’t a narcissist and there are no skeletons in his 22 year old closet.
But alas, I am sure Jordan would deny any efforts to pull him into politics after all he probably is ill equipped for politics. He doesn’t lie, cheat or try and screw his fellow Americans.
I guess we will have to settle for him being the best golfer in the world.
