Surprise! Tiger Woods Leads Wyndham Championship

Tiger Woods has found himself in an unfamiliar place this Friday evening. Instead of flying home in his private jet he actually made the cut this week and even shares the lead at the Wyndham Championship.

Woods has been searching for his golf game since 2013 when he won five times on the PGA Tour and earned Player of the Year honors. Since then he’s win-less and has played more like a 10 handicap than a 14 time major champion.

But this week in an effort to refine his swing and maybe make the FedEx Cup Playoffs Woods elected to play in Greensboro whee he never tees it up.

So far the strategy has worked and Woods has fashioned rounds of 64-65 to share the lead at -11 with youngster Tom Hoge.

A win or a solo second place finish would get Woods into the playoffs and may just jump start his “swing change” that has throttled his game for the past two seasons.
