Happy Birthday to The King.
Arnie turns 86 today and we should all wish him well. No golfer has done more for golf and for golfers than The King.
But back in the day, before 24 hour news coverage and the ability to watch golf on your phone Arnie was just coming into the American consciousness.
Here’s Arnie on “What’s My Line” in the summer of 1960. Believe it or not he wasn’t recognized by the celebrity panel.
That certainly wouldn’t be the case today.
