Lydia Ko Earns 2nd Major Championship

Lydia Ko just keeps on doing the impossible.

Ko became the LPGA’s youngest two time major champion when she won her second consecutive major championship at the ANA Inspiration.ko wet

Ko is just 18 years and 11 month’s old but has the resume worthy of the Hall of Fame. This is her 12th LPGA victory and she will remain atop the Rolex World Rankings for the 24th straight week.

Ko started the final round one shot back of Lexi Thompson but Thompson struggled to find her swing and the fairway all day. It was Ariya Jutanugarn who made a move to take the lead as she got to -13 with her four under par round through fifteen holes.

Then the wheels fell off and she bogeyed her last three holes. As she was rinsing her ball from the eighteenth tee, Ko was sinking a one foot birdie put to get her to her winning score of -13.

It was tough to watch Jutanugarn implode but a joy to see Ko just make shot after shot.

Sometimes it’s just a matter of finishing it off and being in the right place at the right time.

Ko has been in the right place plenty of times lately.
