Masters Flashback: 1986…Greatest Masters Ever

Finally, it’s Masters Week and we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jack Nicklaus’ miraculous 1986 win.

It was his record sixth green jacket and was the most improbable of victories. Jack was 46 and supposedly over the hill.

But an historic back nine charge from The Golden Bear and some “choking” by a few players gave Jack his last and probably most unexpected major win.

We’ve all seen the CBS footage many times but here’s a look at the same feed with what I think is the BBC commentary.

There’s no “Yes Sir” on sixteen but rather a “That’s what Jack can do.” On seventeen there is an “Oh what a night” and they close it out with their “Yes Sir” on eighteen.

Yes Sir” indeed.
