LPGA Fighting Winds in Hawaii

The LPGA is spending the week in paradise as the ladies tee it up in the Lotte Championship at beautiful Ko Olina Golf Club at Oahu, Hawaii.minjee lee

Minjee Lee leads at -10 after a stellar bogey free 66.  American Katie Burnett is two back in second place.

Ko Olina is a splendid course on the south western shore of Oahu and the wind has been giving the players fits.  I was lucky enough to play there a few years back and it brings back some lovely memories of that time we all were captivated by the Aloha Spirit.

Ko Olina is also the home club of Michelle Wie and she’ll have plenty of free time on the weekend to visit friends as she missed the cut.  Wie continued her disappointing 2016 campaign with rounds of 80-73 to miss the cut by seven strokes.
