Jordan Spieth Wins Again

So this is the Jordan Spieth we are supposed to see. The one that splits fairways, makes putts and even chips it in a few times.spieth dean trophy

Spieth shook off his Masters meltdown and all the naysayers that were asking ‘what’s wrong with Jordan’.

There’s nothing wrong with Jordan Spieth other than being held to too high a standard that he can only blame himself for.

Spieth was his magical self at the Dean & Deluca Invitational as he was chipping, putting and high fiving his was to his eighth PGA Tour win.

He started with a one stroke lead but couldn’t find a birdie on the front nine. Then a thirty two foot par putt on the eighth hole seemed to kick him into high gear.

He opened the back nine with three straight birdies which included a long twenty footer for birdie at ten, a pitch to two feet on eleven and a laser approach to twelve that left him an four footer for birdie.

His birdie at ten:

Harris English was trying to make some noise but Spieth put the hammer down with another triple birdie run over the last three holes in front of a very pro-Spieth crowd.

He sank a curving twenty foot birdie on sixteen and then pulled a surprise as he chipped in from behind the green on seventeen. He almost seemed embarrassed.

The tournament was over then but not the excitement. Spieth had one more bit of magic left.

Faced with a thirty four foot putt at the eighteenth but only needing a three putt to win Jordan did what Jordan does.

He drains the putt for a closing birdie.

But he’s not back…he never went anywhere.
