U.S. Open Preview: Oakmont Holes 13 & 14

Continuing with the U.S. Open Preview we may have found some birdies.

The par 3 thirteenth hole is the shortest hole on the course and in 2007 played as the easiest par 3.  A back to front sloping green is virtually surrounded by large bunkers.  Hitting to the correct part of the green will be key for players to challenge for a birdie.

Players could possibly string two birdies together here if they execute well.  The par 4, 358 yard fourteenth hole played as the easiest hole in 2007.  Irons and fairway woods will be the weapon of choice off this tee as the fairway is guarded by bunkers on both sides.  Even with an iron off the tee players will have a lofted club in their hands to try and target their approach to a well sectioned green.
