The thirteenth at Royal Troon is another par 4 but surprisingly has no bunkers. Its 473 yards has enough swales and humps and bumps to give players plenty of trouble.
After five stout par fours players face a challenging 178 yard par 3 at the fourteenth. A pear shaped green is guarded by bunkers in front and a healthy wind could play havoc with many shots.
Back to the tough par 4’s on the fifteenth which at 499 yards in the longest par 4 on the course. It played as the fourth hardest hole in 2004 and will probably do the same this year.
