Still Rockin’ in Scotland

I am still on holiday in Scotland (they call vacation holidays over here) and doing all I can to golf it up and contribute to Scotland’s revenue as much as I can one pint at a time.  Life is good and we brought over the heat wave that was choking New York when I left.

The Scots are very appreciative that we brought the sun with us: 13 rounds of golf so far, 9 holes in rain.  That’s not Scotland, that’s Bermuda! They say it hasn’t been this sunny for so long in five years and I have the sunburn to prove it.

We got back to the amazing Castle Stuart course today and we soaked up more sun and reveled in the joy that is Castle Stuart.  It is simply amazing.  I can only imagine that they had Royal Dornoch in mind when thay built this place.

By the way we snuck in two rounds at Dornoch too and these two rate as #1 and #1A and I won’t say which is better.  Both are two absolutely great courses.

One day left with a round at Tain, right down the road from the Glenmorangie distillery, which we visited today also.  Scotch good, golf good, weather good…I don’t want to leave.
