An Emotional Day Leaves Teams Spent and USA Leading

It was an amazing day at the Ryder Cup as Team USA and Team Europe battled it out over a Hazeltine course packed with 45,000 rabid fans. The European Team won the morning foursomes 2 ½ points to 1 ½ points featuring a huge meltdown from the super pairing of Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed. The Other Tournament at Troon

Philly Mick and Hammering Hank teed off today in a defacto match play scenario, winner takes all, for the Claret Jug, the Gold Medal and the appellation “ Champion Golfer of the Year”. None of the other  seventy nine golfers playing the links at Royal Troon today had a reasonable chance to win this championship so we had, in effect a tournament within the championship. JB & Allenby Lead Phil & Tiger at The Players
