I Wonder…Out Loud

by Jeff Skinner I wonder when we are all going to stop talking about Tiger Woods chasing Jack Nicklaus. Tiger was so much closer to Jack’s record of 18 majors six years ago. That was when he won at Pebble Beach on a broken leg. Since then it has been a big zero in the major win column. Has he won? Certainly, he has 14 PGA Tournament wins since ’08 and even won Player of the Year last year…but majors?… Continue Reading

Wie’s Win Could Be the Start…Maybe

by Jeff Skinner Spending a week in Hawaii is good for the soul.  Anyone that spends time there will say something along the lines of it being “the trip of a lifetime” or “it was life changing.”  Well this week in Hawaii may just be life changing not only for Michelle Wie but for the LPGA Tour. Wie may finally have found the formula for success with her new found “game plan” strategy combined with her forsaking the technical aspects… Continue Reading

Wie shot an essentially perfect 67 in the final round of the LPGA Lotte Championship to earn her third LPGA title and continue her resurgence in 2014.  Winning… Continue Reading

10 Things I Think

by Jeff Skinner 1.  Few golfers can go from sizzling hot to freezing cold as quickly as Phil Mickelson.  With a missed cut at Arnie’s place and The Masters in his sights it’s time for Philly Mick to get warm in Houston.  This is a 72 hole practice round for him. 2.  Cheers to Jordan Spieth who has earned over $500,000 in only four events to earn a Temporary Special Exemption.  That means he has unlimited sponsor’s exemptions and we’ll… Continue Reading
