Saturday Swing Tip: Fade It Like a Pro

saturday-swing-tip-4-250x175

Dustin Johnson has been killing the ball for years.  He’s consistently one of the longest hitters on tour and has plenty of PGA Tour wins to show for it. But he never won a major until he learned to hit a fade.  He started playing more of a fade this season and he captured his first major, the U.S. Open and was PGA Tour Player of the Year. A draw isn’t everything.  Watch and learn how to hit that real,… Continue Reading

PGA Championship Picks…Glory’s Last Shot

pga balt

The PGA Championship starts today as we close out the major season a bit early. Those Olympics are screwing up everything…but that’s another rant. It wouldn’t be a major without the Links Life Golf Crew Picks so here we go. Fresh off his big win at the Open Championship is G. Rennie: So far this is the season of first time major winners and I think the trend is likely to continue. So my first three picks are from the… Continue Reading

by Jeff Skinner The PGA Tour has announced their official nominees for Player of the Year.  Players can vote until 5p.m. Thursday and the winner will be announced on Friday.  Their nominees are Matt Kuchar, Henrik Stenson, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Tiger Woods. LLG Award Season : Player of the Year

by Jeff Skinner Rory McIlroy just finished his 2012 season with a big win on the European Tour but the fact is that Rory had earned The Player of the Year long before he ever set foot in Dubai. To say Rory is the PGA Tour Player of the Year is doing him a disservice.  Rory is the player of the year for the entire universe.  He led the PGA Tour with four victories and ten top ten finishes and… Continue Reading

Luke Donald Takes a Different Path to Player of the Year

by Jeff Skinner Contrary to popular opinion, bigger isn’t always better.  Just ask Luke Donald.  Donald lives in a world where the bombers rule and he who carries the big stick usually wins the day.  But the PGA Tour season is a marathon not a sprint and Donald played his own game all year and one of his many rewards is the PGA Tour Player of the Year. Donald is living proof that those who drive the ball 300 plus… Continue Reading

The Only Choice for Player of The Year Is Luke Donald

by Jeff Skinner The ballots for PGA Tour Player of The Year go out this week to the players and this should be a fairly easy task.  All they should do is check the box next to Luke Donald.  It’s as simple as that.  Donald is the Player of the Year and if he doesn’t win the title there should be a recount and the PGA Tour players should be beaten with a five iron. For those that think Donald… Continue Reading
