We start the New Year with the story that has dominated the news since Thanksgiving: Tiger-Gate. AT&T has announced it is severing its business relationship with Tiger. AT&T joins with Accenture as a sponsor that has dropped Tiger while Gillette and Tag Hauer have stopped using his likeness in ads. The New Year starts as the last year ended for Tiger, with nothing but bad news. Tiger will continue to be the story in 2010 even when he doesn’t play. Hopefully we can concentrate on golf when the PGA Tour starts the 2010 season next week at The SBS Championship in Hawaii.
Happy Birthday to Links Life Golf. Today marks one year of rants, raves, news, stories and opinions on this website that was born on New Year’s Day 2009 . I’ve had a ball doing this website and have been able to get so much closer to this crazy game. Thanks to my son for all the technical support, my brother for his editorial guidance, all my fellow bloggers out there and to our many followers who share this site and this great game we all love so much.
