Crowded Leaderboards for the Weekend

Song-Hee Kim  leads a pack of big name golfers after a round of four under 68 at The Kraft Nabisco Championship.  She’ll have to keep it up to stay ahead of heavyweights Karen Stupples, Lorena Ochoa and Cristie Kerr who are one back and tied for second place.  Karrie Webb and second year player Stacy Lewis are two back of Kim at -5.  First round leader, Suzann Pettersen stumbled to a 73 which included 33 putts.  She used only 26 for round one but the putter betrayed her today as she even had a four putt.

Bryce Molder shot a lights out 66 to jump into the lead at The Shell Houston Open.  Phil Mickelson played himself out of the tournament on the tenth hole when his right-handed trouble shot from the brush bounced off his leg and he took a seven.  That’s Phil, he’ll try anything.  He always uses these outings to tune up for The Masters anyway.  Let’s hope he works out all the kinks and gets to Augusta ready for another major championship.
