I have seen plenty of complaints about these ESPN mini video essays but I have to disagree. I have enjoyed them and the splendid narration by Ian McShane has become a tradition of the Open Championship. I know they cut into the action but if ESPN wasn’t showing them they’d be showing some damn promo for something on ESPN The Ocho.
In my house when The Open Championship comes around we have a rallying cry. With our best McShane imitation…“Can you feel it in your bones.” It’s McShane and it’s The Open Championship.
This one is worth a watch also.
