The past holiday season was full of some wonderful times for most of us. Hanging with family and friends while celebrating Christmas and New Years is always fun and I had a great time the past few weeks.
But I bet it pales in comparison to the time one of my favorite characters in golf had over the holidays. Miguel Angel Jimenez surely spent much of his down time enjoying the things he loves the most. 
This is the message he left on his website:
After a long season, I am really looking forward to a relaxing Christmas at home with my family. No doubt this will involve a few glasses of great Spanish wine, several Cuban cigars and probably too much food! Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the year, it means a great deal to me. A very happy Christmas to you all, and I look forward to seeing you on Tour in 2015.
You have to love the way The Coolest Guy in Golf lives his life.
And I bet there will be a bit more celebrating today for the Family Jimenez as The Mechanic turns a spry 51 years old today.
He’s 51 and still likes to hang with the flatbellies on the regular tours. And why not. He is currently ranked 40th in the world and he won at the Hong Kong Open and his beloved Open de Espana last season. And I won’t even mention his Champions Tour win (Greater Gwinnett Championship).
He truly isn’t getting older…he’s getting better.
