Clutch Putt Gives Matt Every 2nd Arnold Palmer Victory

Just call Matt Every the Comeback Kid.  Every defended his Arnold Palmer Invitational title with his second come from behind win at The Bay Hill Club and Lodge.

Last year Every came from four shots back to win and today he started three behind leader Henrik Stenson.  His 66 tied for low round of the day, included matching 33’s on each nine and a go ahead birdie on the difficult eighteenth.

Stenson had forged his lead by playing the final four holes at Bay Hill in four under par in rounds three and four.  But he lost his magic today and bogeyed fifteen with a three putt.  He also three putted the par five sixteenth for a par when he had been four under par there for the week.

Every played a very solid round of golf and was tied for the lead when he teed off on the last hole of the day.  His eighteen foot birdie putt collapsed into the hole for a one shot lead and his second PGA Tour win.
