What a wild week at the U.S. Open. Dustin Johnson’s win will be remembered for him not only battling the mighty Oakmont course but also having to beat a pair of bureaucrats trying to get in his head on the twelfth tee. As it was, DJ wasn’t the only winner at Oakmont.
And the Grand Slam Chase is alive and well, at least for the Links Life Golf Crew.
Lil Skins was the big winner this week at The Open as he was the only one of us who had DJ as a winner. And since he tied for first at The Masters with G. Rennie he’s halfway to the Grand Slam.
Congrats to Lil Skins for kicking all our butts and the Chase lives on!

DJ did him right and props for DeChambeau as his dark horse.
2nd Place: Gordo $622,201
Rory and McGirt missing the cut did him in and Bonner Award for picking DJ to miss the cut.
3rd Place: Big Skins $414,914
I was the only one who had 3 players make the cut, although it didn’t do me any good.
4th Place: G. Rennie $293,976
G. did fine with bonus picks: He had Rickie missing the cut and Furyk was is dark horse.
5th Place: The Greek $92,340
Phil and Rory missing the cut did him in big time.
6th Place Big Dick $73,864
He did have Hideki missing the cut but alas, Kevin Tway did also.
